Costa
Rica “La Minita”
"La Miinita" is our “House
Coffee”. The coffee has been
prized for years in Europe. Less than 30% of the total crop from
this hacienda will make the cut to carry the La Minita name. It
takes more than 30,000 man-hours of hand selection during the
final preparation.
It produces a well balance cup. One that combines all the
necessary ingredients to sweet aroma, full body, acidity, and a
delicate aftertaste with no impurities to detract from the cup.
We roast it to a full city roast before the second pop. We
find this brings together and balances all the delicate tastes
and aroma. It is truly “awesome”! |

| El
Indio is another Costa Rica
coffee we roast. The indigenous population of Costa Rica is
small remaining population
and most live in the southern part of the country. The dignity
and grace that represents this native people provide a fitting
logo for this Tarrazu coffee. It cups with a heavy body,
whiney and complex overall flavor. This is a coffee we
offer as a dark roast. We take it through the second pop. It
is also a coffee we incorporate into of espresso blend. |
Guatemalen La
Flor Cafe Antigua
La Flor Cafe Antigua is
the trademark for this outstanding coffee produced under the
strict supervision
of La Minita’s quality
control team. It is selected from the best coffees at the largest
coffee mill in Guatemala: Pastores. Sample are drawn from shipments
and the best are chosen to carry the La Flor Cafe Anitigua trademark.
It is a truly outstanding Guatemalan Antigua Coffee.

del Patron” comes
from the Narino province of Colombia. It the most southern province
in Colombia. Years ago, George Howell of the then “Coffee
Connection” in Boston, requested to acquire the very best
coffees that could be found in Colombia. “Reserva del Patron” is
the select the heart of the crop, limiting it to only 6,000 bags
out of a total production of about 150,000 bags. Th preparation
is done to strict Costa Rican European standards. It is a coffee
that cups at the top of any Colombian coffee. |

Iskandar is
the trademark of the Sumatra coffee we roast. It is grown in the Northern Sumatra region known
as Medan. It is located near the shores of Lake Tawar. Only one
thousand bags are shipped of this superior coffee each year.
It is one of the most labor intense processing coffees produced.
Most Sumatra coffees tend to include defects that are not removed
during processing. This coffee has a clean syrupy body, good
acidity, and clean cup. It makes it a top choice for one who
searches out quality Sumatra coffees. This coffee we
roast to a full city roast as well as taking it just past
the second
pop with oils just appearing. This coffee is also use in
our espresso blend.
